Almond Oil - Pressed from the edible nut kernels, sweet almond oil is an excellent skin-softening oil used for centuries. It is mild, lightweight oil, rich in unsaturated fats and essential fatty acids which is easily absorbed into the skin. Used to make many natural skin care products, it is very high in omega-3.
Apricot Kernel Oil - Lightweight and easily absorbed oil that is high in vitamins A and E. Especially soothing for sensitive, dry or sunburned skin. Helps skin maintain a healthy moisture balance.
Avocado Oil - valued for its regenerative and moisturizing properties; an ideal ingredient to include when formulating for people with dehydrated, sun or climate damaged skin, as it is an extremely good moisturizing and nourishing compound, assisting in the regeneration and rejuvenation of the skin.
Beeswax – protective coating for skin which can be easily removed with soap; when combined with other oils, creates a soothing feeling.
Calendula – Due to the presence of carotenoids in its chemical composition, it has great re-epithelizing properties (regrowing skin) – making it ideal for general healing, wound healing, eczemas as well as fighting the signs of aging.
Chamomile – treats irritated skin (dryness, rashes); also as an aromatherapy to calm and soothe.
Chocolate – anti-oxidant, exfoliant.
Citric Acid – used to help extend a products shelf life, in retaining a products texture and guarding against appearance loss.
Cocoa Butter – Will soften at body temperature and adds a rich, creamy, and thick consistency to lotions, soaps, creams, and toiletry items to help reduce cutaneous dryness and for the improvement of skin elasticity.
Coconut Oil - Coconut oil is excellent as a skin moisturizer and softener.
Dead Sea Salt - Dead sea salt is a nutrient rich, extremely fine, and partially moist salt perfect for bath products and scrubbing blends. This salt is extremely wealthy in numerous key elements and has proven to be one of the best therapeutic salts available.
Emulsifying Wax - Emulsifying wax is created when a wax material (either a vegetable wax of some kind or a petroleum-based wax) is treated with a detergent (typically sodium dodecyl sulfate or polysorbates) to cause it to make oil and water bind together into a smooth emulsion.
Glycerin - assists in retaining moisture and is helpful in pulling oxygen into the skin. Vegetable glycerine is a natural emollient
that adds a cooling effect on the skin and has become a predominant ingredient in most skin care products and soaps.
Grapeseed Oil - preferred cosmetic ingredient for damaged and stressed tissues, possessing regenerative and restructuring qualities which allow a better control of skin moisturization. It can help skin retain the normal structure of epithelium cells and nerve cells via supporting the cell membranes.
Honey – moisturizer, anti-bacterial, fights free radicals in skin.
Jojoba Oil – moisturizer, anti-wrinkle, anti-bacterial, anti-oxidant, helps heal skin.
Lanolin – is used as a cream to soothe skin. It is pure, hypoallergenic and bacteriostatic. Lanolin can also be used to treat chapped lips, diaper rash, dry skin, itchy skin, rough feet, minor cuts, minor burns and skin abrasions. As an ointment base, it is readily absorbed through skin, facilitating absorption of the medicinal chemicals it carries.
Mango Butter – Mango Butter has beneficial moisturizing properties for lotions and acts as a mild lubricant for the skin.
Olive Oil – skin moisturizer.
Palm Oil – It is a rich source of Vitamin E oil and antioxidants, and is stable against heat and oxidation.
Shea Butter - first choice in natural skin care and fine body care products, this butter forms a breathable, water-resistant film and is the leading natural product for moisturizing.
Sodium Hydroxide (Lye) – Sodium hydroxide was traditionally used in soap making (cold process soap, saponification). Turns oils into soap that is hard and easy to store and ship.
Stearic Acid - These small flakes are ideal as an emulsifying agent in creams, lotions, deodorants and most natural body care. Stearic acid is best known for the "pearly" and "waxy" feel that it adds to your body care products, which ultimately has a cooling effect when applied on the skin.
Sunflower Oil - like other oils, can retain moisture in the skin. However, it may also provide a protective barrier that resists infection.
Titanium Dioxide – In almost every sunscreen with a physical blocker, titanium dioxide is found because of its high refractive index, its strong UV light absorbing capabilities and its resistance to discoloration under ultraviolet light. This advantage enhances its stability and ability to protect the skin from ultraviolet light. Sunscreens designed for infants or people with sensitive skin are often based on titanium dioxide and/or zinc oxide, as these mineral UV blockers are less likely to cause skin irritation than chemical UV absorber ingredients, such as avobenzone; blocks both UVA and UVB rays.
Vitamin E - Great for preventing rancidity in cosmetics and it acts as an anti-oxidant in creams, lotions, baby products, cosmetics and more.
